Channel 4s new drama from multi award-winning film director MichaelWinterbottom - The Road to Guantanamo created huge international impact and won the prestigious Silver Bear for Direction for Winterbottom and Whitecross incompetition at The 56th Berlin International Film Festival on Saturday 18th Feburary 2006 prior to its transmission on Channel 4 on March 9th. The Road to Guantanamo is a feature-length factual drama based on first hand interviews with the Tipton Three, the three male British prisoners released in spring of last year from Guantanamo Bay.
