Personal Blog

This is my place for ranting & raving about things that make me mad or issues I feel need some exposure. I talk about our rascally politicians and other rip-offs. Sometimes I talk about environmental issues that threaten our very survival and the scientific achievements that could turn it around. I don't accept that "discretion is a better part of valor" and I don't "suffer fools lightly." Sometimes though, I talk about people I admire and other warm-fuzzy stuff.

SeniorMoment#18

I have a growing sense of anger at a bureaucracy that ignores people in trouble, and the rip-off artists that robs them of their last few dollars. I offered a 1950s example that is a classic symbolic of the current rip-off scams, maybe the grand daddy of the MLM scam. I offer a link that lists the current internet scams offering the opportunity to have your intelligence insulted multiple times all from one website.

SeniorMoment#19

This may be my last well-documented political rant. I discuss the abuse of a world banking system that grew from the Federal Reserve Act and is now moving toward world globalization. I also talk about immigration and global warming.

SeniorMoment#17

I ask for referrals for a unique program limited to worthy individuals. I was thinking primarily about struggling seniors and single moms. I outline a program that will provide the digital equivalent of a $20,000 brick and mortar store for less than $200 for an entire year. This $200 cost is for a dial-up ISP and a Web Host. For those without a computer, one can be donated. The operating system needs to be Linux with open-source software. Of course my tech support is donated. I also discuss ...

SeniorMoment #16

I discuss the manner in which senior citizens have an advantage for predicting future events, but they must pay attention to patterns. I briefly mention unintended consequences, extrapolation, and Gestaltism. I discuss two Honolulu murder cases that could have been prevented if some predictive judgment had been in place. In this issue, I'm critical of the mental health care system.

Rant #12

In issue #12c (1-17-06), I feature a revision of a 1995 allegory called the PeaceMaker -- complete with some clumsy (but authentic) sound-effects. Note: I gave the date as 1-11-06, which was incorrect.

Rant #1

#1 Premier Edition recorded May 12, 2005. I started by labeling myself to avoid becoming miss-labeled. I talked about the"type"of individual I admire. I talked about"The New World Order"and Pat Robinson. I also talked about Goldwater, Johnson, et al. I covered inductive vs deductive thinking in some detail. I tackled a bunch of controversial topics... maybe not too bright to do that on my part.

Rant #5

Why does one generation hate the music of another generation? If we found people with no exposure to music, which brand would they prefer? Classical, Rap, Ballads? How does this relate to selling democracy to other cultures? Learn - Do -Teach... what is that all about? I even told a joke.
