Trent Lott was recently elected Republican Senate Minority whip. The Republicans got rid of Trent Lott as their Senate leader when he retroactively backed Strom Thurmond's 1948 segregationist Presidential bid. I guess it's okay to give him a birthday party and praise and honor him as long as you don't agree with him.

The republicans continue to call Foley Gay. I think this is wrong. This is an overt attack on the gay community. Foley is a child molester. He's not a simple homosexual any more than The Boston Strangler was a simple heterosexual. Fox lies again, claiming that Foley is a Democrat.
